Cowboy Charm
Brie called Sir to let him know she was ready to head home. She didnât want him to worry about her.
While Captain was escorting Brie to her car, Brie was shocked to see twice as many reporters as before.
They started talking over each other, trying to get her to answer their questions.
âIs Miss Wilson on the verge of suicide?â
âMrs. Davis, were you sexually assaulted by your kidnappers?â
âIs it true that this is all a PR stunt to garner attention for your latest documentary?â
Captain raised his hand and growled in a commanding voice that left no room for dissent, âThere will be no further questions!â
Blessed silence reigned as Brie finished buckling Antony in his car seat. She then jumped into her car and thanked Captain.
He nodded to her, then glanced back at the reporters, daring any one of them to speak.
Brie had been excited to tell Sir about her visit with Mary, but the encounter with the reporters upset her. She found their questions unsettling.
When she arrived home, she was pleasantly surprised to see that the last remaining holdout had given up. Obviously, the reporter had a better story to pursue, and her street was now free of the press. It made coming home feel much more like the welcomed escape sheâd always known.
When she opened the front door, she found Sir in the living room on all fours with Hope riding piggyback. âHow did it go with Miss Wilson?â he asked amid Hopeâs delighted giggles.
âYou were right, Sir. Mary needed me as much as I needed her.â
He nodded, helping Hope down before getting up off the floor. âHow is she faring?â
Brie knew that as her former trainer, Sir would never stop caring about Maryâs well-being. âShe blames herself for what happened.â
âIt seems to be a trait you both share.â
She snorted sadly. âWe laughed when we figured that out. It was funny until it wasnâtâ¦â She let out a ragged sigh. âNo one really knows how much Mary has suffered. It goes way beyond anything I could imagine.â
Sir walked over to Brie and wrapped an arm around her âNow that Holloway is behind bars, Miss Wilson can finally begin healing. It will take time, so you must have infinite patience with her.â
Brie kissed his cheek. âLuckily, I have the best teacher.â
âOn that note, I have something I want to discuss with you. Last night was a positive step for us, but itâs obvious we still have a way to go to build back the level of trust we once had.â
âI agree, Sir,â she answered forlornly.
âTo that end, I have a proposal for you. Iâd like to start with the basics and slowly build on them.â
Her eyes lit up. âLike I experienced at the Submissive Training Center?â
âExactly.â Putting both arms around her, he asked, âHow would you feel if I invited some of the Doms you have worked with in the past to play out rudimentary scenes structured to build your trust? They would take place here, in your territory, so to speak.
